Global Data & Digital Alliance
Purpose
The DigiSAS Lab for Data & Digital (University of Technology Sydney), in collaboration with its core partners Fintech AI Innovation Consortium (University of New South Wales), and Applied AI Centre (Macquarie University), and associate Australian and International Universities established the Global Data & Digital Alliance (GDDA). The GDDA brings together relevant global expertise from Academia, Government, and Industry to undertake cutting-edge applied research and develop high-tech exceptionally skilled data and digital workforce.
Our Focus
The Alliance will focus on addressing the following major challenges to government, industry, and society:
- How to co-design and deploy, trusted and secure, data & digital architectures for inclusive, ethical, and responsible, use of AI/GAI systems and services for all people and business?
- How to evaluate the impact of data and digital on government, industry, and society?
- How to build and evolve data and digital security and privacy in the context of AI/GAI?
- How to manage and govern connected and federated data and digital assets?
- How to enable observability and semantic lineage in complex data and digital ecosystems?
- How to develop and evolve data and digital profession for the future adaptive workforce?

SPONSORSHIP
The GDDA brings together national and international research labs, centres, experts, and capabilities with a proven track of success via impact driven research & innovation-based solution and training delivery in data and digital across various disciplines: computer science, data science, decision science, information science, information systems and social science. Public and private sector organisations are invited to join GDDA as Sponsored Members. The sponsor membership fee is as follows.
- Full Year: AUD $50,000
- Half Year: AUD $25,000
- Top-ups: AUD $10,000
- Non-profits, start-ups, and small businesses may be invited to join at reduced fee, please contact us to discuss your organization and project.
The sponsorship fee will be used to recruit and support researchers such as PhD (3.5 Years), Master by Research (2 Years) and Honors (1 Year), research internships (3-6 months) and relevant research outputs for the sponsors. These researchers will undertake a research project relevant to the sponsoring member organisations under the supervision of academic advisors.
